ENERES Co., Ltd. will provide self-wheeling support services to Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. Operations are scheduled to begin in November 2024.

“Self-wheeling” is a system where electricity generated at a company’s remote power plant is transmitted through the general power transmission and distribution network for consumption at the company’s or group’s facilities.
ENERES will support Nankai Electric Railway’s self-wheeling of power generated at their solar power plant in Hashimoto City, Wakayama Prefecture, to “NAMBA SkyO” and “Namba Parks” in Osaka City.

In addition to supporting everything from discussions with general transmission and distribution operators and OCCTO (Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators) to the conclusion of various contracts, we will handle the submission of generation and demand forecasts and plans after self-wheeling begins, and fix imbalance charges to reduce the burden on customers from excessive imbalances.
